All of the residents of this unique township have the right to know what decisions their elected officials are making on their behalf. Joyfield Residents for Accountable Government have taken it upon themselves to established this blog. It will give residents who choose to use technology, a location to find information about township business, until the Joyfield Township Government develops a website of their own.

Request for Bids for Snowplowing (From Record Patriot 11/14/2012)

REQUEST FOR BIDS
Joyfield Township is seeking bids for snow removal for the 2012/2013 season.  The area to be maintained includes the township hall parking area including sidewalks.  All bidders will need to supply a current certificate of insurance for auto, workers compensation and general liability with the initial bid.  Successful bidders will need to provide certificates of insurance naming Joyfield Township as an additional insured within 15 days of being awarded the bid
Your bid can be stated on a cost per plow basis.  The cost for plowing, sidewalk snow/ice removal, and salting should be itemized.  You also have the option to bid a lump sum cost for the entire season for all necessary snow removal services.  A sample of any contracts to be required by the bidder should be provided with the bid.  The bid should also state the minimum snow depth or conditions for which a service fee will be charged.
Upon bid opening, Joyfield Township reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, or any portion thereof when deemed in their sole opinion to be in the best interest of Joyfield Township.  Sealed bids should be mailed to Ted Wood, Township Clerk, PO Box 256, Benzonia, MI  49616.  To be eligible, bids must be postmarked on or before November 27, 2012.  Contact Ted Wood at (231)882-7199 with any questions.
